Overview
This Lunch and Learn seminar will address the fact-finding step of litigation known as “Discovery”. It will consider Discovery’s procedures, rules, and strategic considerations. Key subjects include section 13 of the Evidence Act; Rule 30 of the Rules of Civil Procedure; the use of electronic documents; and expert reports. Other subjects covered will be what happens when the Will-drafting solicitor is examined; preparing a client for examination; steps following examination; use of Discovery at mediation; and use of Discovery at trial.
